Thomas Park Holdings today announced the appointment of John Ginnever as President of J. Thomas Property Services, the company’s newly launched property services division focused on repairs, maintenance coordination, small projects, and operational execution throughout Maryland, Washington D.C., and Northern Virginia.
The launch of J. Thomas Property Services reflects the continued evolution of the Thomas Park platform and the growing demand for more responsive, execution-focused operational support within commercial real estate. The company was created to serve the space between traditional property maintenance and large-scale construction, providing owners and property managers with a more accountable and operationally aligned service partner.
John joined Thomas Park in 2022 through the acquisition of The Loughlin Management Group and brings more than two decades of experience across engineering, operations, property management, and commercial real estate leadership. Since joining the organization, he has played an important role in helping scale Thomas Park Management’s engineering and building services infrastructure across both owned and third-party assets throughout the region.
Working closely alongside the broader management and operations teams, John helped strengthen engineering oversight, operational coordination, vendor management, maintenance execution, and property-level support services across the company’s growing portfolio. Through that experience, the company identified a consistent operational gap within the market: owners and property managers often struggled to find reliable partners capable of handling repairs, turnover work, small projects, and day-to-day execution needs with the responsiveness required in active commercial environments. J. Thomas Property Services was built around solving that need.
As President, John will oversee the strategic direction, operational growth, staffing, field coordination, and regional expansion of J. Thomas Property Services as the company continues scaling throughout the DMV region. He will also continue working closely alongside Thomas Park Management’s engineering and building services teams to support operational alignment across the broader platform.
As part of the transition, the previously integrated building services and operational execution teams were formally separated into dedicated engineering and property services divisions. Curtis McClain was named Director of Operations for J. Thomas Property Services, overseeing day-to-day field execution, operational coordination, and project delivery, while Alex Landis continues leading engineering operations across Thomas Park Management as Director of Engineering.
“When we brought John onto the Thomas Park team through the Loughlin acquisition, it was immediately clear that he understood the operational side of this business at a very high level,” said EJ Rumpke, CEO and Principal of Thomas Park Holdings. “Over the last several years, he’s helped strengthen and scale our engineering and building services operations while also recognizing a major gap in market.
The launch of J. Thomas Property Services also formalizes the operational separation between Thomas Park Management’s internal engineering operations and the company’s growing property services and operational execution business, creating more dedicated leadership structures as the organization continues expanding across investments, property management, engineering, and operational services.
